I don't think you're really supposed to stand over it breathing in the fumes. If you start seeing weird looking aliens, either you're hallucinating, or Yorkie chris is there:D

Damn, was hoping for some sparkling piccies of ya down-pipe dizzy ;-)
Nothing perverse ... just that I have a similar problem ... I tackled mine with some of those scouring pads made from wire-wool that also contain a detergent (bit like brillo pads but cheaper) ... took me ages to get the downpipe to even shine ... and as for the top nearest the outlet ... pah! forget it! ... which is sadly what I did with the rest of it also ... just haven't the time/weather/inclination to get out there and constantly polish it ... I'd much rather RIDE the damn thing :riding: :D

Garryflex blocks (i think similar product to what Lozzo describes) from coarse to fine, have never failed me.

The RSI in my arm always gets me first:D

Don't want to say a Cetem polishing kit , cos thats yo on the slippery slope to mirror-shine heaven/never taking the bike out if there is a cloud in the sky.
