so we do get those then? Never seen one, I'm guessing they're not normally seen in houses?

Nah, they're pretty rare (didn't read my whole post did you? ;) ). But generally, wherever there's a lot of woodlice, a woodlouse spider won't be that far behind.

As for silverfish, we get them all the time.

Then, almost every concievable animal/insect often gets brought home with us due to my youngest. I'm considering charging entry to friends/family due to us technically living in a zoo!

Like the name suggests, they eat woodlice, and they don't make a web because woodlice can eat the web to release themselves, so there's little point.

Was the camera zoomed in? Generally, woodlouse spiders are a pretty rare sight, and where there's one, there's more.

Whlst the venom isn't toxic to humans, the bite can bloody hurt, and I certainly wouldn't advise picking one up with your bare hands.

Keep your eye out for her brothers & sisters, and if there are young kids around I'd consider pest control (professional ones). Although, in our house, I'd call pest control for the spider's benefit, as I know what my 3rd old is like!!

No the camera wasn't zoomed in at all. If its a woodlouse spider then should I check for woodlice?!:o

Then even for a female, that spider looks a little on the large size. Females should grow to approx 2cm (fangs to back of abdomen).

No woodlice == no woodlouse spiders. If you did call a professional pest controller, they'd go for woodlice anyhow, and the spider(s) would then either move on, or die.

When we were on holiday in spain last time, I very nearly lost a curry because of ONE of those little fkers!

Not because of the bug either... because my 2 cousins were sat either side of me and nearly knocked the table over other side of the place! Girls!

(the owners did ply us all with loads of free booze though....)
