Re: Has a Pointy ever broken down?
i've had a curvy sv and now riding a pointy and i can honestly say the curvy was the single most reliable machine i've had and the pointy seem's to be the same starts first time on the button straight away(so did the curvy) rides great(both of em) and i can't think what i'll get next that'll do what these bike's do.

Re: Has a Pointy ever broken down?
I had a curvy for 5 years and the only problems I had was big end going due to lack of oil with 70,000 on the clock and choke cable snapped on one of the carbs the bike was used all year round and I was terrible at looking after it. It got to the stage where the garage knew what I was like too and stopped cleaning it when I took it to them.
When the engine died I got a pointy and one of the ignition coils went a couple of weeks ago but got that replaced under warranty. Roll on my elbow fixing itself or the NHS getting round to removing the dodgy metalwork so I can get back to abusing the bike on a daily basis. |
Re: Has a Pointy ever broken down?
They're both pretty damn reliable really, even when they go wrong they tend to be able to limp home too.
