I'd only be offended if you got up and left the table while I was still eating. YC wolfs stuff down and I don't even try to keep up  If he didn't then I'd know something was up with the food :D |
Re: would you be offended??
Depends on what the setting was, after all if it was a romantic evening, I would hardly want you yumming it up dead quick before we got the chance for some footsie under the table.
Then as you burp during the snogging, I would be greatly put off as you puff out my cheeks with meaty goodness. In conclusion, it is good manners to be polite when invited out to dinner, eat slowly, enjoy the flavours and try not to regurgitate food during tonsil hockey! |

Re: would you be offended??
Hacks me off when people comment on how quick I eat. I can eat slower, but if I focus on that, I'm thinking about (and consequently, enjoying) the food less. My eating fast doesn't hurt them at all whereas people eating overly slowly does keep everyone else at the table longer than is necessary.

Re: would you be offended??
Doesnt matter how quickly/slowly you eat.
Although people do comment on my eating sometimes and say "wow you ate that quick..!" really annoys me when they do that because I dont think I eat that quick. The extremely slow eaters bug me the most....one of my friends took an hour to eat a muffin. an hour!!! How is that possible?? (and no she doesnt have an eating disorder). Maria |
