Have a look in the for sale section on here also, you will know where the bike is from & how its been looked after then.
P.S. I don't have a bike to sell.

I passed my A2 license in March, got a bike Saturday (SV650 K4 Naked) and love it. Its restricted but for my first bike so not had the riding experience you have, but I was sketchy about riding a "big bike", had a blast on my mates ZX636 and it quickly changed my mind.

Just take your time to get use to the power + weight is what I've been doing with the dry weather which has been hardly about!

Will i be ok on this bike

hi Guys,
I have just passed my Resticted 33BHP licence.
I was going to get the NINJA 250r but it just went up in price by nearly 500-600 pounds.
My pervious bike was a Hyosung xrx 125 Enduro type and i ridden this for 2 years. i have never been on a bike over a 125cc
but because of the price increase of the 250r i have been looking at the SV650
i am 6"2 and i went to the dealers the other day and sat on the SV650 and didnt think it was to heavy but what about the power will this bike pull my arms off or will i be ok if i take it easy ?? i am quite confident driver but i dont want to buy a bike im not going to be able to drive...
But i do really really like this bike with all the Farings
cheers guys any advice would be appreciated

33bhp is not scary at all. Stock SV is perfectly manageable for a newbie.

I'd say keep looking too many miles for price. Good dealer though.

Re: Never had a big bike

Go and look at it if its local to you.Its two years old so out of warranty but you need to ask if its got a full service history. It should have had one at 600 miles and then one every 4000 mile.It should also have had a major one at around 16000 to check the valve clearances. Then consider condition of chain and sprocks(£130)tyres (£200)Brake pads (£50) and knock any of that off the price. After all that they will probably give it to you just to get rid of you.
And yes an SV on 33BHP will not be a handfull at all.Great first bike.

Re: Never had a big bike

The SV is a perfect first bike. I went from never having ridden before through DAS to getting an unrestricted pointy in three weeks. I can't say that I've not had the odd moment or two on it, but that was down to me being a nugget rather than the bike biting me. Buy with confidence!

I'd say 2.6 is nice for an 07 model O.O

Anyway man up (jk), 6 foot 2... you'll be fine on the SV. Keep weight forward ie, don't lean back :p and you'll be fine.

To be honest if i'd found this place before i found a dealer, i would've bought privately from here, not a dealer, but you get the warranty and things so good luck whatever you do. :smt071
