Well, let's see: Blonde, 30 yr old primary school teacher. The other one's also blonde but a 30 yr old LAS paramedic so she's probably better qualified to dispense the *correct* medicine!

I didnt say i'd administer any drugs, right or wrong ones. OK let the LAS girl do her bit and then i'll pop round when the other one is less infectious and also less able to resist me. I hear flu drigs make you hard of seeing so i'm well in :)

so, now that Dirk's the defacto expert on this, how do you tell the difference between a bad cold, mild ordinary flu and swine flu?

It's just that I've had a bit of a sore throat, snuffle and cough over the last few days..... only a bit, mind!

The lady on the phone (guess she didn't want to see anyone f2f just in case) said the symptoms to look out for were: fever, hot then cold flushes and aches. So, basically, the menopause. (I think I'm immune to that one!).

I'll sell you a tamiflu 75mg capsule. £10 a pop. ;o)

I'm not nearly old enough:shaking2: . So, as far as symptoms go, no difference from a bad cold or mild flu.

Thanks for the offer but I think I'll take my chances with the Lemsick! Or I could try oinkment.....

I do still feel it`s a load of hype but is quite worrying that we now have gone into an emergency state at work!

We have contingency plans drafted for a pandemic including mimimum staff working and all our patients have had to be categorised A, B and C and only the A category will get visits and potentially B. We have also been issued with face masks and had to attend a session on how to fit and wear them correctly! Hope the situation doesn`t get any worse
