Hate to say it but a lot of cars now come with automatic lights - even my Mundaneo does. So the driver switches them to auto and lets the car decide on when to turn them on. The sensor in the windscreen only judges light levels, not rain or any other visibility issues. Result is I have to frequently switch them on manually. Not many cage drivers with this feature would do this - they will just rely on the car!
