Insomnia is crap. I have been suffering since March. Nothing much has worked except for copious amounts of prescription sleeping tablets or co-codamol that I got for my shoudler.

You got something bothering you?

Just do what I do, 'What? It's natural!'.

This is another one of those "I've got..." things that drives me nuts.
I've got flu = a cold
I've got a migrain = a headache
I've got dyslexia = Just poor spelling
I've got Insomina = My sleep is disrupted.

Not an attack on you nemesis or even this forum just people in general, it really winds me up that people seem to want to lay claim to conditions which can cause serious problems for true sufferers, it destracts from those that can really do with the medical attention.

/END RANT,

Someones already covered it nemesis but if your not sleeping well follow these guide lines:
Make your bed room is a room where you sleep, nothing else dont even get dressed in there.
Make sure there are no electrical devices in there other than a clock (which you face away from the bed or cover over).
Make the bedroom as dark as humanly possible (maybe invest in some black out blinds).
Dont eat anything after 8, Dont drink anything other than water after 8. (assuming your getting into bed around half 10).
Keep a glass of water next to your bed so you dont need to leave the bed if you wake up with dry mouth.
Before going to bed, have a routine. mine for example is: Let the dog out, check the front door is locked, have a couple of mouths of water, go brush teeth, let dog in, check doors are locked, turn off all lights, go bathroom an get undressed, take a p155, go to bedroom, get in bed go to sleep.
From time of head hitting pillow, Im asleep in less than 5minutes every night no fail.

What might also prove to be a massive help is going on a 14 day detox. No take aways only freshly cooked food and also nothing to drink other than water. This will mess your bowells up for a few days if you do it properly but if you stick to it it will work 100%, Im living proof. If you want to know more/diet suggestions for during the detox PM me, Im sure I still have the downloaded material which I used and if not I can defo email you one of the diet plans which I stuck to.

I know what you mean, "good cures for insommnia" is going to get more attention (and you more assitance) than "good cures for having a couple of nights recently where I've not had a decent sleep, its really bugging me so do any of you have any ideas what may help?"
Just doesnt roll off the tounge as easily lol.

Seriously though the 2nd part of my message is spot on, again I'm living proof. Before doing what I've written above I'd had hypno-therapy I'd had sleep trance tapes. I refused to take pills cos tbh wel its not natural sleep. I didnt want my problem hiding from view I wanted it curing. The diet and routine really do matter its as simple as that.

I tried to stay away from the pills but I tried all else whilst waiting to see a specialist, still waiting, and I got myself so fatigued I was falling asleep whilst mid sentence. Was on the verge of passing out most days so I kindof had to opt for the pills. Only take a two week course and have only done it twice in the 9 months suffering.
