Well, had my first proper test today of the new lid, its a massive improvement on my old lid.
At speed its a lot quieter, more comfortable to wear also, only gripe being the double d ring fastening, my old lid was a click in buckle thingy, so very quick to put on / remove but this is more fiddly.
So, on the whole, very pleased with the investment.

I actually like the Haga one now. lol in the colour it looks lovely


...... but it's £589 !!!!!! hang on thats working 9 days without pay?? hmmmmmm .....

Did you get the Dean Thomas or Phil Read?? It was the Phil Read, and thats cos its old hat now. lol

I confuse myself!!

I remembered the black and white check across the bottom and thought that was the one you were looking for, but realised after I posted that that was RavingDavis's pic. The Phil Read is readily available off the shelf, and the staff seemed to give me the impressive that it wasn't "off the moment" like the Haga one. I didn't mention the Dean Thomas as I couldn't remember the name of it. Obviously when I was talking about it I was saying that you had difficulty finding it, hence they thought it odd that it was "on the shelf". DOH!!
