imo the oil filter change recomended in the service manual is way too optimistic,...i change mine every 3000 miles;)

I guessed, but some people might have other bikes and not be aware of the differences. Thought I'd be helpful!:smt026

just filled my sv1000s up today after testing from full to the light coming on. I got 91 miles to 12.5 litres (about £14.50). Not happy days. My sv650s 2005 hit 120 miles constant before the light came on.
