I've already re-used the clocks in my black SV. It was originally a parallel import and still had kph clocks and euro headlights so I've swapped them over for the clocks and headlights from the project bike. Anyone touring Europe on a curvy and wants to buy a suitable light - PM me!

So I think I'll go for aftermarket clocks - thinking Acewell. Plus any old 7 inch headlamp from the scrappy. Although I have a notion for a 5 inch Bates lamp mounted on the bottom yoke. There's a 750 SRAD front end going on so wee headlight/big forks might look cool. I'll need to mock something up first as it might be a terrible idea! I haven't seen it done before - there might be a reason for that!

Anyway - I'm a long way from worrying about the clocks! I've got my mates stag do in York this weekend, then the wedding in Stourbridge the following weekend so progress will be slow for a wee while.

I like that and it really suits the streetfighter look.

I'm going for modern cafe-racer here (whatever that is) and I quite fancy the wee round Acewell clock with the stainless housing.

I'll decide once I've got more of a bike to look at.:D

I'm not too great at imagining how these things look and then realising that vision. I need to make them out of cardboard first!

Quick update. I've not had much time this week but have managed to stick on a ZX10R rear shock, remount the downpipes and fit the swingarm after cleaning and regreasing the bearings. They actually looked OK for grease but it seemed a shame not to!

Most of the wiring loom and a few other bits and pieces refitted.

I'm waiting for some bits for the front end before I put that on. In the meantime, I'm going to play with this Poly 26 seat unit.

There's obviously a French Fibreglass Famine on at the moment - you can see daylight through it in places. Not too well finished either and no hints at how to fit it although it's obvious that some big bits of subframe are coming off.

Gonna be plenty of work in this. It's nice to have a hobby isn't it.:D

Me likey.

Why not go the whole hog with the Poly stuff and do the proper retro look? I'd love to do that on an SV.
