I agree. I think he would have won this year even without Rossi handing it to him by smashing himself to pieces.

He's just really really good at riding a bike fast :)

100% worthy, but that doesn't stop his championship being devalued somewhat, compared with what it might have been like had Rossi pushed him all the way.

It would certainly have been a close run thing between the two Yams if VR had been there,so yes he definitely deserves his crown.
The fact that this series is so thin on the ground is another issue however.

Totally deserved champion. He has done all he needed to do, bad luck or failure by others is not his fault. He can only beat who stays on track. This kid showed his potential when wrining the neck of his Derbi when giving Pedrosa a tough old time in the lower classes.

He is a superb rider although his celebrations I find cringing.

Not sure the Rossi arguement is relevant. If you look at the stats, even if Rossi had won the races he had sat out on, he wouldn't have won the championship.

As said before Lorenzo has been consistant even if he does through his toys out of the pram when someone gets in his way.

I think his reaction and battle with Marco Simoncelli at Valencia was not good.
