Guess who's prob gonna be out of a job now as the company tries to recover its lost 60k :(

If they did give out a back hander out then your company has committed some staggeringly serious criminal offences in the UK which carry fines which can ably bankrupt the entire company and prison sentences for those responsible (likely directors) of up to 10 years. If you lose your job as a result of this then it is the criminal actions of directors that are entirely to blame as they not only risked your job but those of the entire company by breaking criminal laws which have existed in this country since at least the late 19th century.

If you think they've managed to obscufate and hide back handers through legitimate sounding accounting then consider the legions of creative accountants BAE had to hide their bribery, yet still they ended up settling out of court for a little over a quarter of a billion pounds.

Very fair point, however one would like to think that there would possibly be some RAF air support flying round just outside their airspace to escort them just in case? If not... then why not?

They're all getting scrapped remember?

Maybe so, but I think everyone understands this is the way of things over there.

Who pays wins :(

Which is exactly why it's been such a serious criminal offence over here for so long. Further corrupting already corrupt regimes serves no-one.

I seriously cannot overstate how staggeringly seriously this is taken. The Serious Fraud Office is now responsible for investigating and just in the last two days we have two convictions involving multi million pound fines and (albeit suspended) prison sentences for UK engineering firms:
