I ok just ordered some petrol resistaan paint so will have a go myself hopefuly it will look alrite thanks for the help :)

if the paint is not down to the undercoat then you don't need paint. you need lacquer. the paint is good and sound. a rub with 1200 and then cutting it with G3 should have sorted the problem. this is probably what your £130 would have entailed, if it looked a bit ropey then they would have given it a quick once over with lacquer then cut it back so it was flat.

Alrite sweet will get some g3 aswell then :) bibio thanks hop this works you have saved me a load of money :)
