Re: GSXR600 swinging arm in a curvey?
The pointy swing arm matches the frame. The curvy swing arm, groves or not does not match the rest of the frame or the bike in the slightest. And no amount of polishing can get away from the fact that once Suzuki got to the swing arm on a Friday afternoon they ask the work experience lad to come up with something, and that something was welding two leftover scraps of scaffolding together to hold the wheel on. And I've seen curvy arms with bracing, they just look like some random scrap metal has been tack welded on for no reason whatsoever.
GSR and 675 arms that I've looked at have shape and curves that match the idea of the frame. I've also considered RSV arms but haven't been able to get one to try out, but which ever route I go down I can see it not only taking a while for me to do, but I think its going to be a fair bit of work to get done that I don't have the skill or equipment for.
Oh, and me and polishing? Please, I refuse to wash my bikes.
