Re: MOD 2 Bike Test
Tests are funny things. Some examiners are better than others. In my module 1 I missed a cone, cos where I took it the route wasn't obvious. I pulled up and complained and the guy let me do it again. :D Passed that. On the mod 2 I missed at least 1 life saver and slightly rolled back on my hill start, and I passed that too. I reckon there is a degree of slack the examiners will give you, based on how they perceive your overall safety. Having taken my test in my mid 20s, perhaps I gained a certain degree of slack for being a more mature sensible rider? I have no idea. Just speculating. On my module 2, the examiner may've just missed my mistakes. They're human too, right? :)

Re: MOD 2 Bike Test
i found the test's to be fairly ok, passed mod 1 perfect, examiner said if anything i was too cautious :/ , and on mod 2, i got 6 minors, 3 for speeding ? how i was on a slow as heck honda cg, and one for not letting some one go, because they flashed me to go, ( he had a stern chat to me about it when we got back ) and the other two cant remember. but i agree the tests are funny things and some examiners are better

It's definitely to do with your general confidence and how you've ridden throughout that gets you through, I reckon if you made what you thought was a real error but continued to ride as normal and had an otherwise very good ride then the examiner will look upon you more favourably. |

As for other drivers (like that flashing), they can be a proper pain in the ****! On my test there was a short motorway section, and plenty of cars were doing 60mph, so I had to overtake them otherwise would've got minors for going too slow. As I approached one car, he has left his right indicator on. I reckon I sat behind him (him in the slow lane and me in the fast lane) for up to a minute, but I didn't overtake him cos I thought that'd be a failure (unsafe or something). Examiner didn't seem to care, so I suppose I made the right call. In real life though, you'd wait for a sec then rag it past them. Quote:
I think overall the examiners I met were good guys, who appeared to make common sense decisions on ability rather than blindly following the rule book. |

Can you explain why you introduced yourself on 29/12/11 claiming you had just passed your full bike test then started this thread claiming you had just failed mod 2, I'm confused.:confused::confused: Summat wrong here:confused::confused::confused:

Re: MOD 2 Bike Test
Reminds me of another forum I was on ...
"I will be taking my mod 2 next week. Who wants to go for a ride the following weekend?" I'm pretty sure that ride next happened. |
