Thanks for the feedback peeps.

One big reason why I chose these 3 bikes is because I have sat on them and I can fit on them. I can fit on Chris' Gixxer better than I can fit on my SV. Go figure. SRAD is a definate nono.

I'm a bit on the fence with the GSR. Initial thoughts are I like it but something (can't quite put my finger on it) bugs me.

Pretty much everyone has said 750 over 600 so I'll take heed of that (test ride depending).

Sooo really it's one extreme to the other. Upright nekked or ar$e up head down supersport!

I have a trumpet dealer close by. Just need to find a Suzuki one.

oh, and def can't afford much more than 6kish I think.

Dave, next years trip on monkey bikes. I'll flat foot those no problems :)

We'll see what the test rides bring eh!

Having recently test ridden all three I think you'll go for the 750 out of those.

Triple is fine, but I couldn't cope with the wind blast. The 750 is just a better package than the 600.

Popped into a triumph dealer against the weekend and sat on another triple and I swear it's taller than the GSXR.

How do we feel about ex-demo bikes?

Low mileage, but possibly abused before the engine is even run in??

Provided it came with a useful warranty, and the price reflected the fact it was 2nd hand, I'd be fine with it.

After all, the only way to be certain what's happened to a bike is to buy it off the factory line, and never lend it to anyone. That seems expensive and kinda dull :)

Modern engines are pretty solid anyway, and are you really going to keep it long enough to care whether it's using a little oil by 60,000 miles?

Not sure about completely flat foot but yeah he's spent enough time sitting on/drooling over it and can easily fit on it :D I don't think most people realise just how tiny these machines are, as LPH says it's a girls bike (she also fits them with ease).

But with saying that, despite it's size I'm more than happy to do 400 miles in a day on it without question. Guess it comes down to body shape and flexibility if you're going to find it comfortable, at just over 6ft everyone told me it'd feel too small but it really doesn't.

It's an awesome bike, but it will be sold when I decide what I want next as it's just too easy to ride stupidly fast and doesn't really excite me unless keeping it above 10k RPM. It's silly, on test riding both the 600 and 750 I preferred the grunt and overall characteristics of the 750 but now I've put 6,000 miles on it I sort of wish I had a 600 to work the engine a bit more. And on that note...

...wait till I find my next bike you can buy mine (it's a K6 on a 2007 plate by the way). Especially if you're going to give me £6k :p Although it will be October at the earliest as it's being taking around the Nürburgring before being sold! More likely to be February/March next year.

Depends if you think a bike really needs running in.

When I test ride I don't hoon it around and smack through the gears as I'm not familiar with the bike and I don't want to damage it. But I'd would want a big discount to by ex-demo. Might as well go for nearly used in second hand market if you are worried though.

I was going to suggest trying out the CBR600F as it seems to meet the touring/sports riding but I think it might be a bit tall. I'm really enjoying mine now I've got to know it.

The K6 onwards GSXRs are small and so much thinner than the K1-K3s or SRAD so I can see why you feel comfortable on them.

If it a dealer demo, it'll be okay (people usually behave on them as their is a £1000 excess if they drop them).
If its ex Suzuki GB, its more than likely had a jurno at the bars

Well I have emailed some dealers to see what they have...I guess it all depends on the test rides. I have sat on these bikes and they feel ok, although I have no idea how I'll feel when riding them.
