I've had mine over two years, done two big trips and over 10,000 and never had to top up between services either.

Never had to top up my old Daytona 955i in the 10K miles I did on it, never leaked a drop either. On the other hand my Thunderace drank the best part of a litre of oil every 1000 miles from the day I got it and had been pretty well treated before I bought it. Would I buy another big Yamaha... not very likely - would I buy another Triumph... definitely.

I know nothing about oil but I'm pretty sure that last advice wouldn't result in anything better... Except for the rest of us of course :D

I hear that, my beasty burns nearly as much oil as petrol, well not exactly burn more dribble out of every gasket, a winter job methinks, not enough good weather left to be fannying around in the garage!:-$

Here's the truth: modern Japanese engines are amazingly well engineered and can tolerate a surprising amount of abuse.The question of which oil is best is not settled.

Yes I did and thought "may scare my clutch into misbehaving" bah no info there!

In addition to not being an engineer he obviously has little understanding of language.

Foreign organisations that use the same alphabet as us have acronyms in their own language, languages that use the Japanese style character set would struggle with that so may as well translate.
