Re: Curvy SV Misfiring and Backfiring
Hey man I'm having the exact same problem as you on my 2000 sv, just wondering if you've ressolved this problem as i've yet to find the source of the problem.. I have invested in a pair of ht leads and coils which I have replaced both with spark plug caps and new plugs and still a not solved it.. I'm heading up the garage at the start of this week to get my fuel mixtures done as the bike is running really rich and gonna go from there..
here's a video of what mine is doing which is pretty much the same as yours but a lot more. (**SKIP THROUGH TO 30SECONDS!**) Dan https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...89957821826623 |
Re: Curvy SV Misfiring and Backfiring
Have you tried swapping the plugs/coils/leads around, from each cylinder.
This will completely eliminate ignition as the cause. If the problem follows the swap, then it's electrical/ignition. If it isn't, it's fuel/carb etc. Just my 2p. |
Re: Curvy SV Misfiring and Backfiring
Was there ever a fix to this issue?
