For Beavers you'll be needing a subscription to National Geographic.

I too saw the BBC Breakfast piece this morning - fair that, putting a feminist intellectual up against a glamour model in a debate. It also brought to mind the anecdote about skirt lenthy being linked to economic prosperity.

I think the campaigners are going after easy targets rather than addressing the real problems if they're claiming to be concerned with violence against women - this is just headline-grabbing horsesheet.

Agreed,

In all those lads mags I've read, its never promoted beating up you girlfriend, or treating her like a doormat and treating her like a sex slave, there's a deeper cause to all that.

Lads Mags cover up - opinions

Like some have already said, the women's mags saying girls are fat if they are a size 12 are far more damaging than the lads mags!!!

What's next, the bra section in the bleeding Trafford catalog?

They should ban those catalogues, the lingerie section is pure filth.

Re: Lads Mags cover up - opinions

I agree with much of what is said. but would add a couple of points,

One by covering them up they make it taboo and draw the eye to it. I was in a service station smiths the other week and the lads mags were covered up. It made me actually notice them and look at them waiting in the queue to get a drink. Previously never noticed them especially when getting the sunday papers when they were not covered up.

Second, and a point I have never seen anywhere, both types of mags portray the same skinny, blonde, big boob, fake tan is the only attractive female body type, and by extension you must be gay or weird if you don't like it. Yeah, when you are a little more mature its much easier to say, "Give me more cushion for the pushin' " - Bibio, but when you are just starting to figure these things out it is really confusing.
