Well we had a good day in the end, though the morning was a bit iffy. Lots of people throwing themselves into the scenery, then at the start of my second session, someone in my garage had the mother of all blow-ups and spread oil down two straights and two corners before his bike seized and made him into Iron Man as well. That totally screwed the morning, but the weather held and the afternoon was good.

Saw sandman but also a few SVs. Guy on an unfaird SV1000 in my group (inters). Another dude on a 650, tats all down one arm, in the novices. Tall blonde lass also in novices.

Good to catch up with you.
Had a good day all things taken into account
Didn't realise the guy who dumped the oil was in your garage. Best you kept that quiet as there were people ready to lynch him down my end
Hopefully finish the video this weekend
Hopefully see you again on the track

Always interesting to see other people's onboard footage for comparison.

You're not revving it much - even on the straights you're short-shifting a lot. Trying to avoid triggering a noise meter?

I think he got his payback for the oil slick. Bike destroyed, unconscious for 15mins with concussion, really shaken up, he wasn't back till well into the afternoon to get his stuff. All I really know is that it was a late-model GSXR1000 and he hadn't had it long, got it from a shop and had been assured it was all checked over and ready to go. I don't know why the oil came out but short of going OCD on every bolt, I'm just putting it down to bad luck. Easy to say when you weren't in the gravel of course.
