If I hadn't seen him I wouldn't have hit the horn, which has taught me a very basic lesson as I assumed he would stop, and he didn't. Just because you've seen the hazard & taken action, doesn't mean to say that it's seen you, and even if it has seen you, that doesn't mean it's going to do anything about it  If I see 'im tomorrow, I'll have 'im  thanks for all the replies |
Glad you're okay and the bike's not too bad, seems the number of battle scarred SVs at Soho has increased a fair bit in the last few months.

I'm surprised how often a pedestrian will look you straight in the eye and still continue to cross in front of you or step out and stand so close to the path you are on until you slip past (hopefully for them).
Glad U R o.k - even the slowish offs, hurt a bit ( had mine two days ago but had the sense to do it on the dealers loaner - my bikes remains immaculate but I think it still counts - damn) |
probably a good job he ran off,

Sorry to hear of your minor off, Simon. Glad the damage is negligible.
Such incidents are bound to happen if you ride in London. I don't really understand how you guys manage to ride there. Rispek. |
Glad it wasn't too bad |
Personally I've found that horns are rubbish for warning pedestrians, since they still expect you to stop- but slipping ht clutch and giving it a massive handful of throttle scatters them, since they think you're actually speeding up towards them :) Helps to have a nice malevolent sounding can of course.
