was/is a leather football..a proper one- usually laced up to keep the bladder in !!! (and the laces hurt ya head if u happenned to head on them !!)
and it wanna coated in vinyl so it soaked up the water and got heavier and heavier as the game went on !!!

Oh and here in Stoke- home of the best footballer ever to walk the earth (sir stanley ) it is said that he could cross the ball and spin it so the laces were away from you when you headed it!..now there's skill !

Sorry I never posted last night but I was out having a blast around on me bike. It was 10pm when I got home and then gave the wife a detailed account of how it was and what it felt like to be on two wheels.

I got quite good weather for my test with just a wee spot of rain but nothing to worry about. The test itself went very well and I would have had no faults had it not been for a stupid b***h in a Corsa nipping in front of me at a set of traffic lights while I was about to turn left :evil:

Never mind though as the main thing is that I passed. now I have exactly a month to get some on road experience under my belt before the Knockhill round of BSB which I will be riding to with friends.
