However, you should phone your bank first thing tomorrow and tell them the amount you have paid is in dispute. They may well ask for some background, but they can suspend the credit to the retailer whilst the dispute is investigated. I'd then send a letter by recorded delivery to them, outlining the circumstances, disputing the amount paid and advising them that they have 10 days to contact you to arrange for your bike to be collected & repaired to it's original state and for your charge to be reversed. Should they fail to contact you within this time then you will arrange for the repair work (to bring the bike back to its original state) to be carried out by an authorised dealer at their expense. I'd also add that you will be charging them for your time and reasonable expenses into the bargain. Then be prepared to stick it to them through the small claims court. Also a call to Trading Standards makes sense. |

thats disgusting, hope you get it sorted

Suzuki's non-existent customer service is diabolical at best, never waste your time ringing them!

You can speak to Trading Standards but in all honesty I doubt they'll be a lot of help.
Go straight for County Court Small Claims. It's pretty straightforward and simple and doesn't cost much (a few tens of ££). Drop into the local County Court, ask at the reception what you need and they should give you a small pack of documents, they're very helpful and will assist you as much as they can, they like you to win!!! It tells you what procedure you need to follow to make a claim stick, i.e. you inform the others of what the issue is and give them notice of what you want as settlement and date by which you must have a response etc etc. Do everything in writing, copies etc. Very often as soon as you wave a "Small Claims" document in front of the other party it shows you mean business and they suddenly remember they meant to settle with you. Try quietly going into the shop with the documents and asking politely if you can just check that you've got their details correct for the Claim form   Remember you can bluff it out as long as you want, there's no obligation for you to follow it through if you decide not to (up to the point of submitting the Claim). I did basically this to get an overdue payment settled. |
How about a phone call to your local paper asking if they are interested in a story? Also a before and after photo, the after photo could be taken on the road with the garage in the background.

Hi there, a letter to the MCN would,nt go amiss as they will give you all the advice and tell you how to go about it, get them to publish it as well the dealer will not like that for all readers to know how they treat customers.
