1st bike - GS500F - bought age 30
Erm... The End. A fascinating tour through the annals of my biking history, I think you'll agree. (Oh, but am looking to trade-up once I can sell mine in the spring... thinking about probably an SV650S...) |
Well, i dont count my first bike as my first bike.. I owned it less than 24 hours before it was taken back due to a shed load of things that would have probably killed me...
'twas a GS125... then I did my DAS well over a year after that... and already had my SV650S K3 waiting for me when I got home 8) now.. ZX-6R B1H in green 8) |
1st) a DERBI 50cc moped (Thought I was the dogs on that)
2nd) 50cc Suzuki trail bike. Almost immediately got stoppped by the Belgian Police and got done for a number of things from lack of restriction to headlight to pillion rider etc etc. 3rd) Kawasaki ER5 bought for £825. Old ex-trainer bike, did the job though. (Thought I was the dogs on that) Current) SV650 K3. Love it. (Think I am the dogs on it) |

Honda MT50 Field Bike - Ragged to death and sold Kawasaki KE100 (bored to 120) Field Bike - Ridden all over, even on road (how the feck did we get away with that? I was 15) Yamaha DT50 - first road bike, blew it up twice before selling it Derbi Senda - 2nd road bike, also blew it up Aprilia RS125 - lovely little bike, handled like a dream, sold after gettin: Suzuki SV650S 1999 Red - rode for 3 months, crashed and nearly killed myself, 2 months in hopsital, month off, then: Suzuki SV650S 2000 Blue - Still going strong, weekend bike now, cos I'm using: Kawasaki ER500 - Sh*tter I use for commuting on, actually quite fun A few bikes for a 18 year old, I'm happy :) |

In the interest of brevity, I've listed my bikes before and anyone that interested can do a search.
Never owned a Harley, BMW, cruiser or out and out tourer (although did use a Pan for work for six months). Break in riding, well I’ve managed a week before but that was extreme! Never been without at least one bike and most of the time several. Started riding in 75 (on the road anyway) and haven't stopped yet, over a million miles covered and still racking them up. Either owned; worked on or ridden a fair amount of the mainstream stuff and a Good % of the exotica as well., particular passion for the old “flat tankers” but as Sid Squid would say “ wouldn’t do anything as silly as buying one”. Cheers Mark. |
