I fitted a loobman a few weeks ago. 1/2hr to fit, no messing and cutting into vacumn system ala scotloiler. Uses engine oil. Squeeze bottle for 3 seconds before you go and then it feeds it onto the chain by gravity as you ride.
I am well pleased with it. Yes there is fling as its not wax but no system is fling free (if you think wax is fling free check the inside of your chain guard) and all that for £16 delivered. |
have you got a pic of this loobman? where can you get it?

The answer to my prayers. I've been looking for a simple way to rotate the rear wheel so I can check my chain. Happy. :notworthy: Jo |
I've got a loobman on one SV and a Scotoiler on another...
The Scotoiler is better, and I don't even look at it for weeks, just does what it needs too. The loobman is cheap though and works, even with all the fling... I found if you get thicker oil, it slows down a bit and the fling is less. Could try using Scotoiler oil in it to... You could use chip fat if you really stuck, mind you might not run for very long. |

I use one of these, its a variation of the Tommy Jack idea. My paddock stand hasn't been out of the shed for a year now. Its so much easier and safer with the lift stik although I don't lift it as high as the wheel in that picture. I do it so you have a 1mm gap between the tyre and ground so the wheel just about spins freely. Cleaning and washing are a piece of cake. Takes about 10 seconds to jack it up! http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=502851 |
I couldn't remember what those where called... plus they'll fit under your seat wont they?
|
Not sure how long the lift stik is when its fully screwed down. A tad taller than a DVD case I'd imagine. May or may not fit under the seat as I can't remember how much room there is on the SV but its so small that if you are travelling it easily slots into a bag or whatever without taking up any space.
Isnt half as bulky as that Tommy thing. Best £25 I ever spent. |

the wheelspin things are great for showing off and doing burnouts,
yet no damage to clutch and wear on the tyres ;) |
