How do you guys decide to get into racing? Is it through doing well on track days/boredom/lots of money etc?

how much is a season in minitwins?

Cant answer for anyone else but I have always wanted to do racing, not being so young I want to do it for some fun, ask me how much at the end of the season
minitwins for me seems a cheaper option as you dont spend fortunes tuning if i am correct. Also the people seem to be quite good fun too, I used to race grass track 1000cc sidecars and always had a good weekend, so hoping it will be as goos in minitwins....... comments about that please :D

If I were you, I'd get on the CCS course as soon as you can, I don't know anyone that doesn't learn anything from it, I'm looking at doing a couple again next year (I hope).

I wouldn't bother if you are having a Power Commander fitted.

opsman 11-11-06 05:11 PM

Yeah, sure you can!!

All it does is smooth things out, James (I think) has PC's AND Quickshifters fitted on both his race bikes, may be worth a chack buy I'm 99.99% sure.

This being the place that it is I'm sure someone will prove me wrong.

SV1000s 11-11-06 05:20 PM

I was wrong about the quickshifter, it's only on his 1000.

Rules here..........

PC are allowed as of this year since bikes like the ER6 were released however on a suzuki save your money and just get the original ECU remapped. far cheaper.

TRE's are NOT allowed full stop.

Add to that they don't work and if you are riding the bike in the rpm's they may be noticeable you shouldn't be on a race track!

I can also supply naked bodywork should you wish to go that route

There's not masses to be gained in the fueling on an injected bike, last year I ran a hindle system with a K+N filter with no fuelling adjustments and the fuelling was good, Was the only naked bike to get a MRO podium, on pace all year and the same bike this year won the nationwide Minitwins, pretty much as I sold it, allbeit with a fairing fitted.
