Well, you'll need to loosen and then readjust the cable, but you don't need to modify any hard parts.

After the mod is there a noticeable difference in size between left and right twistgrips? Or is buying the left hand grip as well not necessary?

You can fit any grip you want over the R6 tube- a lot of people just use the standard one, but grips are a standard size. SO you could buy an R6 left, or an SV right, or a pair of Renthals or similiar.

A fatter twistgrip gives another 2-3 BHP.

what is the mod you have to do to the throttle stop on the tube? i know you cut off a bit on the shorter side, what do you do to the longer? these pictures suggest u trim it slightly but i found a video on youtube that said you need to add a little bit to the longer bit
