Stu,

if you ask carbontek they can print out a figure at the roller -this is the same as a factory pro readout.
A dynojet read out is loosely based on a wheel output - based on a v max as stated before.

A v max does not have the same inertial losses as a GSXR1000 - therefore the whole D J system is floored.

The crank figure on a Fuchs dyno is generated from the frictional losses measured during the run down - you will have seen the operator holding the clutch lever in after reaching max rpm. The dyno is measuring the frictional losses during this period -ie; how much the engine/clutch, chain etc.. is making the roller slow down. This gives an accurate measurement of engine inertia -therefore working backwards can show accurate crank horsepower figures.

get on a 1/4 mile run against some of these guys and you will see who is talking the talk..

If anyone thinks D jet are the gods, take your bike to three different dyno jet dyno's - post the graphs and show me you got the same results.

This was true a decade ago  Not that I think that DJ are the height of accuracy, but this is a straw man.
