Tuono would be more bike, but the 750 is bound to be a better ride on the road I'd say. Also likely to be less harsh on the wallet insurance wise.

true. but it wouldnt be that much more. i got a quote for the newer shape 06 tuono, and that came back at 450, so i would say the shiver would be around the 300 mark. its a similar thing towards the gixxers. 600?? 750?? or 1000??. which ever one picks your fancy really and how much your willing to fork out.

If one can leave the bargain basement "SV" mentality behind, then the Shiver is a really interesting option.

Not meaning to be rude but some do at times take the "budget" thinking beyond reason. This then sees people pooh.poohing excellent machines purely because of the price tag.

Disagree if you wish, I have no fear!:D

No such thing as better IMO, if I wanted a Mille or a Tuono I'd have had one years ago. Some of us actually like smaller engine bikes. Quite a lot of us on this forum, I imagine. Middleweights aren't always stepping stones.

Buy one! Consider the Shiver if you need to commute as it maybe better suited - but you are right I have seen 06 model Tuonos on the market lately for a little over £5.5k. Insurance is the same level as a Gixxer 600.

Oh dear. I don't like it at all! I think it looks plasticy and too angled. Sorry fans. It's just too futuristic for me I'm afraid.

Are nakids ok on the track, I mean with regard to neck muscles? I'm a tall old chap anyway so not sure I get much protection with my SV650S screen?

I would love to see them put the motor in an rsv750 :-)

The more I look at this bike the more I like. Exhausts blend beautifully from the side but from behind they look awful.

With a 90ª L twin like thaht, a nice set of juicey pipes would be a must!
