To an extent i agree. More importantly here, without talent, there would
be no rock and roll.

Hey, I'm not a fan of Bjork, but compared to Doherty, her little finger has
more talent than his whole useless body. :smt013

i've seen him do some fantastic stuff live, off the cuff and unrehearsed.

give me his mug in the paper (altho i dont read newspapers often) every few days than have the MOR dross like blunt (rhyming slang, surely) and morrison poluting my ears.

without drugs there'd be no rock and roll.

Sorry Keith - not like me to disagree with you but . . .

. . . I've seen Babyshambles live - managed to get in free just to see what all the fuss was about PD - ABSOLUTE UNADULTERATED DROSS !!

There is nothing remotely original about the man or his 'music' (used in the loosest sense of the word you understand)

This guy has ZERO talent - he's famous for being a druggie who was :-

(a) Thrown out of a decent band for being an unreliable druggie

&

(b) Once dated / lived with / was engaged to a well known model who finally ditched him for cheating on her whilst out of his head on drugs

Anyone see a pattern here ?

As for your final comment - sorry mate - absolute b*ll*cks !!

The talent was ALWAYS there regardless of the drugs taken - it's too easy to say that this or that wouldn't have been written without chemical assistance - maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't - but great songs have always been & always will be written whilst 'clean' & great live performances have always been & always will be given whilst 'clean'.

aah babyshambles. utter codswallop they are indeed. i was reffering to the libertines as being fab live. as you rightly said he got thrown out of for being unreliable and blew prolly he one chance of doing something great.

i never said the man was original, only that imho he has got something. i gnuinely believe that and will defend that comment..

as for the last comment, without drugs there'd be no rock and roll, all i'll say is.......caught one!! :fish:

There is no use for Pete Doherty.

I've listened to his music and found it to be utter ****e (and I have been described as a connoisseur of music! eek!). I conclude that this man has no talent and should, in a Darwinian way, be removed from the gene pool.

However what has always bothered me is the way he continually avoids any form of "punishment" such as prison etc for his numerous drugs offenses. But then I remember my previous job where I dealt with his type day in day out and am not surprised.

At the end of the day he is only living on the publicity that his drug abuse generates and to strangely quote Thatcher we should "starve [him] of the oxygen of publicity".

Finally Doherty is best described as a slinky type of a person. He serves no purpose, but will bring a smile to your face if you push him down a flight of stairs.

I've thought of a use:

He's the human definition of "despair"

I'm in despair everytime I see him on the telly
I despair of his 'little boy lost' look that he trails out every time he's being 'interviewed'. Pathetic.

He is "despair"

He has no use!

He should be thrown in jail and left to rot. If it was any other human being who was off his face on drink/drugs, then they would be handcuffed and thrown into jail straight away.

It really bugs me when 'celebs' (if you can even call him that) are treated differently to any other druggie.
