Re: What are the best online bike stores
i was looking at their chain and sprocket section, then realised its the same as busters, and so is the rest of the site is very similar. Also noticed Sounddistribution.co.uk is similar to that of sportbikeshop.co.uk. Is it me or what?!
Must be half asleep.........! |
Re: What are the best online bike stores
I've used ... J&S Accessories (fast, efficient, and relatively cheap).
I've also used Marriots Motorcycles (in person), but they also have an online store Infinity won the RIDE readers award for 2006/7, however I hear they are in financial difficulty (can anyone confirm that?) and have never used them. I've also used Busters Accessories and there were very good. And i've also used Ginger Parts ... however I have to say that they failed to deliver the goods when they said they would* *In fairness - there was a postal strike on - Nick @ ginger parts refunded my delivery charge and kept me updated on the progress of chasing courier companies (excellent customer service). |

i used these guys for my EBC brake pads £44 for all calipers but delivery took a week and i ordered from busters at the same time and that order came in two days |
Re: What are the best online bike stores
Well the parts I bought from Ginger Parts I ended up going to a bricks n mortar store called Ears Superbikes (in Macclesfield - not far from where I work) and bought the same stuff "off the shelf" (oil filter & oil). In fact the filter was a quid cheaper too.
So I think I'll be asking for a full refund from ginger parts. 3 weeks delivery is taking the P a little, especially when I initially paid for (but have now had refunded) overnight delivery. |
Re: What are the best online bike stores
do you have a link Pete just so we know to beware

Re: What are the best online bike stores
A link to? Ginger Parts? it's in my post above ;-) to Ears Superbikes? I do, but it's hardly worth it. It's just off the Buxton Road in Macc (they don't do "online") ... they have a website but all it says is "yeah, we're here"
Ears Superbikes are quite good and have a really good range of stock for such a small store. |

Got an excellent bargain bin going at the moment if anyone is after some leathers... |
Re: What are the best online bike stores
I prefer to use my local bricks and mortar shops. When the chips are down and I need a spare part there and then, it's nice to know that the 'here today - gone tomorrow' online shops haven't pushed my local dealer into reducing his spares stock. I like to be able to see and feel the quality of the stuff I'm buying, and I like to find it in stock so I can get my bike back on the road asap.
