Ceri, I have to agree with you. You are an idiot and you do deserve to have you bike stolen, your only saving grace is you didn't post in advance that you were going on holiday and your house number. But few of us can cast stones, I wouldn't believe anyone who claimed never to have done a similar stunt. :)

Just goes to show you're all wasting your time locking up when it's out of sight.
It's like your front door. 99.9% of the time there's no need to lock it. How many times do you think a thief has tried your front door to find it locked so they give up & move on - probably never.

I have left cars unlocked and keys in/on the bike more than once. Probably more than 5 times actually. The only hope is that most thevies must think its a setup if its that easy. Have also left house open and locked myself out of houses more than once. Keys are not my strong point!

Left my bike outside once with no locks on and the key in the ignition, it was only covered by an oxford stormex!!

I'm thick as pig **** me!!

Used to leave the boot of my car open (hatchback) all the time cuz I figured if a thief wanted in they'd get in, guess what? They smashed the bloody window anyway!!!

I have left my bike with the keys in the ignition at:

1) The Ace Cafe for the kill spills rally
2) Croydon Car park
3) Outside my house

I have been a very lucky boy....
I thank you, I really do.....

It happens to us all, was looking for the bike key umm where could it be?

So next day go back in to the garage which was locked! Ah that would be the bike key sat in the igintion! That was on the 125, not my SV but doesn't make it better though does it!
