Yep great to be rid of all the winter riding gear. Think I'm enjoying the summer gloves the most.
It was still a tad parky at 5am this morning though!

5am was still in bed then. Lol

Bliss! Warm sun and a job in Shrewsbury, so out on the bike rather than the car, and the long way round to my job. Similarly enjoyable ride back, followed by another ride out on the back roads in the sun to another job. It's ok commuting round here! :D

Picked up my new "comfort seat" for Hugh. Looking forward to getting out tomorrow to try it out (out for dinner tonight or I'd be trying it now). The standard seat wasn't bad but two hours was the threshold for numb bub syndrome. Will be heading over to my nearest Trumpet dealer tomorrow as it's TFEST weekend - perhaps they'll have some decent gloves on offer.

That's what I thought about commuting when I moved to Shrewsbury from Romford 27 years ago. The locals thought I was mad that I planned to commute 18 miles each day to Oswestry.

When I've got my work clothes on, I can look like an officer of the law and our van looks like something the boys in blue would drive.

So it gives me great pleasure when we pass people using their phones at the wheel and they mistake us for bobbies and swiftly put their phones down.

Today's idiot will be wondering when the ticket might drop through their letterbox.

Snigger. My Dad had the same when he was in his fire service uniform.

I am pleased to report that my new seat needs to break in a bit but was very comfy on the four hour jaunt I had this morning. Shame Triumph don't make it the standard fitment!

Just bought 2 tickets to the Muppet Show at the O2 in July. A little surprise present for a fellow orger. And as I'm a Sky platinum member I can access the lounge before the show for a glass of wine in a proper glass.

Managed to scare another fool using their phone at the wheel.

Think I'll invest in a dumpy video camera and pretend to video them. That'll make them even more uncomfortable, thinking a ticket will be coming through their letter box.

Also we had the pleasure of an Aston Martin driver being pulled over by an unmarked Police BMW, after they'd passed us in out van at Mach 2 on the M6 Toll road :p
