Re: Yet another bike dilema
Just took a couple of pics as mine was out because it was leaking. K-Tech sorted it and a jammed rebound needle this morning.
I run 25 mm of preload on an uprated spring http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...smantle001.jpg Both rings at the top, and spring is free. You may need to pull on the shock to fully extend it Dyzio. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...smantle002.jpg Collar off. Spring just slides down. Easy. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...smantle004.jpg |
Re: Yet another bike dilema
Cheers!!! That looks doable :)
One more thing, I'm ~80 kg in normal clothes (nokia says it's 12.59st), did I guess the spring rate right (80Nm), and where do I get one? |
Re: Yet another bike dilema
Our last spring from K Tech was £24 plus VAT. I'm sure if you gave them a ring, told them which bike and your weight, they could recommend the right weight spring for you. I guess with postage you'd be looking at around £40 quid for the spring.
Funnily enough, Pete picked up a Demon Tweaks catalogue today, and in that the K Tech springs are from £75 quid! Might pay to go direct to K Tech, methinks! |
Re: Yet another bike dilema
MC technics said around 65 quid for the sprung. Will phone K-tech.
