Bike - Triumph Sprint, Honda cb400f
Do you have a Fixer-Peg? - Not at the moment
Why? - Inertia

If so, why, and were you able to continue? - I donated it to an SV650 owner who had snapped a gear change lever and was then able to change gear.

What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? - Excellent

Bike - SV650s
Do you have a Fixer-Peg? - Yes, 2

Why? - Do a reasonable amount of long rides / weekends away which could be cut short without the peg. 2 because guarnteed I'll meet someone who needs to use it then need one myself before i replace it
Have you used a Fixer-Peg? - Yes
If so, why, and were you able to continue? - Dropped the bike and snapped rear brake lever. Yes, At applecross, recovery was a minimum of 4 hours away.
If you didn't have one, what would have happend? - Would have had a very challenging ride back to campsite, with no rear brake, over severe gradients and single track roads
What price do you think you should pay for a Fixer-Peg? - I think I paid £10 which i felt was fair, would probably stretched to £15 but then probably wouldn't have got 2
Would you prefer to buy one from; A, manufactures web site,
B, resllers web site,
C, local accessory outlet,
Answer - Wherever gets you the widest market, personally manufacturers site, Similar to almax chains.
Would you recomend one to your friends? - Have done already and strangers.
What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? - Excellent, possibly too good. difference between a get you home and a semi permanent fix.
Other comments - Excellent product, excellent customer service. Hope it all goes well.

Damaged my lever and had to abandon Bike , ordered a Fixer-Peg , went back to my bike and installed it in a minute and rode the bike away

£15 - £20
Would you prefer to buy one from;
A, manufactures web site,
B, resllers web site,

I do and insist it should be the Second thing you buy after a Puncture Repair Kit
What do you think of the quality of the Fixer-Peg? -
The Machining is impeccable with a good finish and the Anodising is top notch as well

Fixer-Peg also supplied me with a peg to finish the repair of my bike afterwards without having to buy an expensive OEM lever again , remove the lever and drill to accept the new Peg , your Fixer-Peg can then go back under your seat for future rescue of yourself or Friends .

What's a crank?
I think it's the alternator cover that's covered in scratches on the ZX6, but the gear lever's fine.

But speak to sid squid. he had an accident (not hitting the ground) where he lost his gear lever - But think he lost it from the hanger not the toe? :-k

The alternator sits on the end of the crank

Loz, did you know the permanent repair from Fixer Peg is a quarter of the price of a temporary fixer peg?
