you could play that game forever tho nick, upon antisipating the release of the nexus there will be a press release of another phone which does everything the nexus does with a cherry on top. Its an endless cycle, its similar to how PC's used to be - basically as soon as you've bought one its already out of date compeared to what else is available.

It cant been too far away before they reach what is practical and useable, case and point is the size of phones. The first big thing was colour screens, then it went to the size of the handset then it went into features, then largest screen, then touch screen, then connectivity and now its on compability and sat nav.

Once they reach the stage of it been the expected standard for handsets then it'll start to level off and at the point you can buy competativly but right now, waiting for the next best thing is futile because once you have it the next best thing to that becomes an option...and so on.

I have found whilst I've not been well that on stand by, receiving email and the odd text, it's last about 2 days without charge but when getting normal usage (emails, texts, a few short phone calls (or long if from GG), picture taking and short bursts of internet usage) it lasts about a day. I charge it whenever I go to bed.

It is extremely customisable (is that a word) and I started with the 7 blank homepages and added all my own widgets and stuff. I love the interface, its so easy to use and to be honest I think it is a million times better than the Blackberry I had before.

Would fully recommend the Desire.

The wench makes sense. I wholeheartedly agree!

Aye. Your right Owen. Only reason I say go for the new nexus is because it will be the most upto date Android phone, it will get the new OS first as other Android makers have to add their "bits".

I don't think we are far off of standardising smart phones thanks to Android phones. These days the only thing between the big smart phone makers is preference... or poser value. He he.

Currently on a weeks free trial but the maps only cost 10 euro's ish.
Much quicker to use as no need to wait for downloads, even works without gps to route plan. Menu system not as good as tomtom, but still easy to operate. Being able to navigate to a point on map is not avaiable but easy enough to work around.
One of the reasons i got a smartphone was to use as a satnav on the bike with use of an earpiece. Hoping this works well enough to use on the bike.

where did you find this app.. i have had a look through the "market place" but nada??

Market sucks IMO - never got anything I want! Better off Googling for things on a PC first half the time!
