Re: K5 - not starting
I seem to remember this bike is pretty grungy?
I would have a look round all other electrics you can find and give them a dose of ACF50 |
Re: K5 - not starting
Yep it's been stood for a long time. It's had a good wash and all the plastics and brakes removed. I'm just taking my time going over everything I can think of from top to bottom. Once I get the electrics sorted, oil & filter changed, calipers overhauled, new fluids and pads fitted, I'll be checking the valve clearances and maybe the CCT. I have some v. low mileage sprockets and might pick up a new chain (although I'll be cleaning up the existing one first to see what nick it's in).

Re: K5 - not starting
Just by way of an update, I spliced and soldered a new length of wire in and she starts and runs like a dream now!

Re: K5 - not starting
Can you remember which fuse this went to as have a similar problem except mine occured whilst riding the bugger leaving me wthe revs reading about 5000 due to total loss of signal. Mine won't try to turn over though.

Re: K5 - not starting
That sound like dodgy Battery connections to me mate, unless you can see any obvious wiring damage?

Re: K5 - not starting
I'm pretty sure it's the fuse marked fuel...
