Re: Which bike next?
I think your be ok with a demo bike . As stated big expense if you mess up your test ride..
What have you tried so far . Don't just jump at the shinny good deal one . Your going to keep it a couple of years we hope . |

Re: Which bike next?
If I chop the SV in, as my lowers are scratched from my off, should I take them off before showing the dealer?
There's no hiding the fact its been down the road even with the lowers off. But I thought I might be able to flog the lowers separately if someone wants to spray em up. Same goes for end can etc as well? |
Re: Which bike next?
Ah crap, for me hy heart is saying gsx-r 750 as I love them, I am SRAD mad, they do everything I need - but having ridden a Street Triple R, I would love to buy 1 in the next 3-5 years as they are so light weight, chuckable, almost feel like they pull a bit stronger than the 750 (I think because of the more upright riding position, you feel more of the torque pulling you backwards away from the bars, where as with the sportsbike riding position you're more wedged into the thing)...
And the fact you're not the tallest chap in the world Hong, I actually genuinely think the riding position, size, weight, and style of the Triple would probably suit you better in all honesty. The only way to find out is to get a test ride on both if you can buddy. Only thing which would sway it for me would be the 750 would be better for touring trips as it has more wind protection, but the triple R would be ideal for scotland trips like the one you did with Dave. Good luck.... and I love you. |
Re: Which bike next?
Go to dunmow book a test ride.
They do lowering kits £75. Did you try the GSR ? Take the bits of the sv and px it standard. |
Re: Which bike next?
I bet its the headlight putting you off the gsr, lets it down IMO.
The reviews of it alone though would mean I'd never buy the standard tripple but the tripple R... yeah I'd maybe give that a go. As for the tupperwear sports bikes, na... not for me. keep us posted on progress. |
Re: Which bike next?
Currently arranging test ride on K8 GSXR600 and GSR750 with Romford Suzuki (just need to get some more details and find time).
I'm popping into Triumph in dunmow tomorrow to get a test ride booked up. :D In my heart of hearts I love the GSXR on the way it looks, and fack me the screaming IL4 noise is pure sex. I think the GSR and RRR are neck and neck on looks... |
