The sad thing is, it's the best looking t****x that I've seen.
However... it has to go Guy. One Friday when you're up one end of Frith St and your bike's down the other, I shall be out with the tools to rectify matters. . |
I think it looks lovely.

Sorted!
Hi Again All!
Thanks for the info. Thanks too for offers to see and try your tankbags / topbox (Guy H and Mr Toad). Guy's topbox is the best looking one I've seen, but the fact it gets bolted down is, for me, a major minus. I take a pillion on weekends. The after-market one on Kjohanss' (how do you pronounce that?) bike is probably very useful and functional, but I'm not sure my bike would fit in the garage with one of those. So I tried Infinity, but they'd sold out of the sale bags. Went down the A23 to Hein Gericke. A helpful youngster let me try the bags on my bike. I still found the expanding, rectangular bags too intrusive (picky picky, that's me!). I've gone for a blue Oxford magnetic humpback tankbag. It was around £45, which I thought was fair. It fits easily, expands (fits a full face lid), has a map holder, has rucksack straps etc. And most importantly, I feel quite comfortable riding with it. So I'm a happy chappy! My bike goes for its 600m service on Friday. I'm SO looking forward to going over 5000rpm! Cheers again Mark. |

I have a baglux "City" tank bag, which is L: 14 W: 8 H: 5 (inches)
http://www.baglux.co.uk/images/products/tbcitytrail.png It's small enough to be totally unobtrusive on my GSXR, yet it takes most of my day to day stuff. I'll be looking at the show to see if they do one slightly larger to take an A4 footprint laptop. See http://www.baglux.co.uk/tankbags.asp for details. . |

It's actually pretty quick to bolt on/off, so when I tour again I WILL be using it Sorry  |

If the bike's back for Friday eve. there's always SOHO. |
The SV's too wee a bike to wear a topbox well, but it's purely an attitude thing. Martin leaves his on even for the rideouts, and you'd be hard pushed to slag him for it as he leaves you for dead in the twisties... You're basically saying "I'm cool enough and fast enough that I can tie a zeppelin to the back of my bike and not care".
But I don't want one, because I'm not that cool or fast :) |
