Sorry but it doesnt work. Ive heard many a Ducati with aftermarket exhaust and STILL heard that dodgy clutch. But thats hardly a surprise to me to be using the phrase "doesnt work" in the same sentence as Ducati :P

PS. Im obviously not a "typical" [in your definition] japanese bike rider. I shower daily :P

Gotta say when I was next to a Monster in traffic, I was thinking wtf is up with that until I remembered about the clutches lol.

Err...It's a Ducati isn't it? No, you're quite right, not 'fashionably' affected at all - oh no.

Sid Squid 10-06-06 11:25 AM

PS. Nothing at all wrong with a dry clutch. There are some, in theory at least, advantages too. Possibly of dubious benefit in the real world though, and whatever way you look at it wet clutches wear better*.

*Hamfistedness aside obviously - that can kill all mechanical parts quick smart.

Sir Sid...I am extremely surprised that with your in depth knowledge you would point such an accusing finger at the Desmosedici. This is the closest thing out there to a full on Moto GP bike. Every thing has been drawn from the racing machines.

To say that it is merely a fashion statment is just so wrong and you do puzzle me here.

It is the Jap manufacturers,(and dont forget I have owned many Jap bikes) that pay lip service to the race bred this and that and it is they that run with the current fashions.

Please don't fall in to the same trap as the mischievous Supervox who it would appear dislikes Ducati, purely because it's Ducati!

Pedro.

Too easy.

No matter how much I try,(and I DO try! ),I can't stop thinking it looks like a FISH! A colourful tropical one!

Look at it from the front first, then look at the sides,(seen from a previous thread),

I'm not saying I don't like it,I do!

DanAbnormal 11-06-06 09:13 PM

I cannot tell you in words how much I want one.

anna 11-06-06 09:26 PM

I think I'm in love ... :smt055

Scoobs 11-06-06 09:36 PM

I like the front 1/3. The other 2/3's nahhhh! Not convinced.

I'd have it if I could afford it cos I am a tart, but as a "beautiful machine", nahhhh! Doesn't grab me.
