ouch. I've done the same thing, only minus the duck & damage, and not on my SV. Hope you're healing well!

I hit a squished squirrel once while on a long bend and I felt the front end slide on the squirrells entrials. Made me laugh afterwards. Saw a nasty one in Windsor once where by a car hit a deer and catapulted it right on top of the poor Harley rider sitting behind. It looked so funny at the time but the rider must have shat himself. Rider managed to stop safel but deer was in a bit of a mess.

I brake out of instinc nnormally, but the only time I ever see something in the road is in very slow areas. If I was doing any sort of speed I'd just roll over it.

But dead animals in the road are possibly more dangerous than live ones with regards to traction, so whenever I see a dead rabbit or bird on the floor I give it a quick boot over to the kerb as I go past. (You should see my boots)

Bit messy, but still fun.

SVTHOU from the carnoustie forum should be :winner: coz he has hit mopre than one rabbits [by mistake] but his real claim to fame is one night he stopped and noticed a BAT was stuck in his break lever !

but seriously i wouldnt swerve for a rabbit ive hit onr before and barley felt it swervin could be much more dangerouse.

Had an off a couple of months ago when a short fat dog came steaming out of a side gate and ran straight for my boyfriend's SuperFour...he managed to stop, but skidded and went over on his left hand side and span into my path. I did a great stoppie, burst my front tyre, went into the back of him and fell over onto my right with the damn dog still trying to bite us!
It was so fat though that hitting it would have caused a major highside!
Nice owner was mortified and payed for all the damages. The worst bit was waiting four hours for the AA and getting nasty sunburn!

Almost forgot... I have a friend at work who hit a pheasant at 100mph on his RSV Mille. It ripped a mirror off and exploded all over his leathers! :pukel:
