I usually get somewhere between 140 & 160 before the light does it's obsenities. New bike & new engine could account for that.

Also, the bible that came with the bike says that when the light starts flashing, you've got about 40miles to go. Obviously this is dependant very much on revs, and I've never tried to test it, but I regularly ride 15-20 miles with the light flashing. Just means I don't sh*t myself if I'm in an unfamiliar area.

200 miles to a tank isn't that far. I reckon I could. Am I brave enough to try? Err, can I borrow your bike & take a fuel can? :D
