Well done I passed mine last month as well.....err didn't pass first time but I got 1 minor in the end.

Yup I spent a ton on getting my licence, so thats all on the credit card still! I'm slowly replacing all my gear I got for learning in. The only good things left are the textile bottoms, and the gloves I'll keep the old lid as a spare.

You will also walk in a bike shop and spend far than you thought you would it will happen, you will see something and want it!

The zip on my boots broke last week, so I need new boots, winter gloves and a jackect.....oh my god I think I spent close to £1500 I think in total including das! I just counting and bough what was needed I need some bits for the bike screen, hugger, tail tidy....I really need to do some mad over time!

Gotta work 12 hours tonight I got a nasty cold given to me by a mate at work, dam it!

Damn ... I just worked out how much it has cost (or I have spent) in 11 months of riding ... almost £8K :smt103

That's CBT + DAS (about £675)
Bike (£3K)
Gear/Accessories (£1.5K)
Servicing/Repair (just over £2K)
MOT/Tax/Ins. (£500)

Admittedly, I've had 2 "offs" which has contributed to some of those costs (e.g. needed a new lid and rucksack and had to pay insurance excess after 1st off and also paid for repairs myself from 2nd off)

I coulda bought a brand new gixer 750 for that :rolleyes: Mind you, I'd still have needed to get half that stuff anyway ... and insurance would have been more expensive :-P
