It's not an underhand comment it's a statement of fact.

Fugly + alcohol + airbed = snoring on a scale loud enough to require earplugs 8 tents down.

@Spank if its you we may need to meet somewhere familiar as only been to yours once and I have no sat nav for the Ace.

@Fallout I know where you live, and you are IMO likely to be easier to convince to get up early!

Fry up at Loomies and the Pub opens at 11!

Easy to get to mine mate. I'm only a few seconds from the motorway junction.

On the subject of signs, we put them a mile out in both possible directions and people managed to hoon past - I blame them not having decent brakes at that range :p

All four ways into West Meon end at a traffic light controlled crossroads. The camp site/pub is on one corner of said crossroads.

The hoon past comment was a polite way of saying, "for those not paying attention!";)

How far off the A31?

Spank86 16-01-13 07:57 PM

Re: AR2013 Chat Thread

It's inbetween them. The bit that used to be the A31 before they put the motorway there.

I could easily meet you anywhere round alresford/Winchester though.

SuperVox put +family, do you reckon he needs to put down +Tent by the size of the one he took last year?

My tent was pretty big too and it only had me in it.

Criggers 25-01-13 07:51 AM

True, however I think the tallest tent goes to DavePreston

At least he has a good excuse.

Criggers 25-01-13 07:56 AM

True, although I'm 6"3 and I managed to fit into that slug tent :D

Dave sleeps standing up.

Was that a slug tent? I thought it was one of those Femidom female condoms made for those women who've had 16 kids.

Criggers 25-01-13 08:15 AM

Haha no don't you remember that green thing next to Rictus's tent?

True. I brought 3 tents.

But I'd never have got 7 cakes on the bike.

And when I put my massive tent up I didn't know I was sleeping on my own. It was cold too.

I did see the message but I'll need to PM Fizz which isn't easy from my phone.

We could have a competition at this year's AR to see how many people we can fit in Jon's tent and then try and get the same number into Crigger's.

Aha! Jokes on you I've up graded :) but I might still bring it to see how many we can get in as I am quite intrigued

We could have a sweepstake. I have managed to share the sleeping compartment of my larger tent with a 6'4 drunk Australian and a lesbian couple.

I need to buy a new tent. My 6 year old Wilkinsons £24 one with two sleeping bags and groundmats included doesn't really cut it any more. Plus it's never seen a proper downpour. I think if it did rain I'd probably drown in my sleep.

Oi ! That's quite enough of the 'tentist' remarks thank you very much.

Us (physically, not mentally) old-uns need a little more comfort than you youngsters :-)

Then you won't need it for AR as it won't rain... will it?!

Theres no GMers daft enough to take that sort of bet, not unless we really do a continental AR.

I am willing to bet everyone that it'll be completely dry at this years AR. To make this wager interesting, if it rains everyone can attend for free.
