I faffed about for ages reading reviews, there was so much contradiction on the models I was interested in. I definitely didn't want a battery powered item or petrol mower. So I went to see some in the flesh and ended up with this.

Should have plenty of oomph, and so much better value than a cordless one, unless you already have the chonky batteries and charger. I've got almost 250 sq m of grass, and with paths and beds, it's a sod if you have a trailing cable, hence me going cordless.

Glad you got it sorted anyway.

Morning all. A bit cooler here today. We had a storm yesterday afternoon but just a short one. It was only enough to half fill my water butt, but there was a lot of water on the road between Llanfechain and Llanfyllin. I'm hoping the sun might put in an appearance today.

How's the week ahead looking for everyone?

We had a storm yesterday too, which washed a load of moss of the roof and blocked the filter on the water butt interceptor, so we didn't get much of a top up. All cleared out now so hopeful for a little more rain (preferably overnight).

We had a nice run out to Tyddyn Mawr tea-room in Cwmystradlyn on Saturday, driving the pretty way over the tops via Ysbyty Ifan. There was a book fair on and we had a stroll by the lake, not too far as we had wobbly dog with us. Highly recommend a visit to the area if you like walking and/or cake.

Makes the week of work ahead more bearable.

Photo linked below is from Facebook. I'm not sure it will show up to non-Facebook folks, but if it does it is my VFR in front of Cwmystradlyn slate mill from an earlier trip.

Great picture Mike, but it seems to have double posted.

We're away for a few days up north, of course the weather forecast now looks grim. Had a wander around Knaresborough today and enjoyed what looks like the last of the sunny weather. Tomorrow we're visiting Durham.

Hope the weather is kinder than it's forecast to be John. Enjoy your trip away.

I've ridden past the road to Ysbyty Ifan when heading from Bala to Ffestiniog on the B4391, I'll have to give it a try sometime.

Its a goody but is single track and bit bouncy. Surface is generally good. It takes you down to the A5.
