Good idea, Sean..............then maybe you can get the rest of your exhaust as shiny as the ART can:p

Folks, are you trying to get it back to completely Stainless? The only reason I say is because as soon as you take it out for a decent ride and come back, its already beginning to stain and change colour. Ive had it completely Stainless before but its too much of a chore to keep on top of it. Now I like it shiny but not too bothered if theres still a little staining on it. At least I dont need to put that extra effort into it. After all it is only the downpipe. and gets hidden by the bellypan

right this is odd stuff..its a powder, you can either apply onto a wet cloth and rub( if its slightly tarnished) or turn it into a paste like substance similar to a toothpaste consistancy( trial and error). I did the paste way and let it sit on it for a while and kept rubbing it with green pads, washed it off thouroughly and then give it the autosol.

bearing in mind my pipes looked like this

after faffing with this stuff...a little messy but i'm obsessed at the moment, it starts 'bleeding' brown stains, scrub a dub dub and it goes a not so very shiny this---

wash it all off and dry it for this

then autosol to this

ooops blurred had a few beers...lol

its not as perfect as what you would get it kwak, but they were really bad and for it to lift the crud off the rear pipe was a miracle. Its not a simple wax on wax off but its a handy tip of the day i think

Considering that top picture there makes their original state look far better than it actually was!

daft thing is its going to be covered by a bellypan, Lissa could you answer me a question?? How do you change an oil filter with a Roca bellypan? and polish the downpipe too?

I'm rather enjoying this polishing lark, just my hands don't like it. By the way this stuff smells all lemony
