It arrived late then they found a siezed bolt which took several days of soaking in something to free it up and now he says its a bigger job than he thought, he had to strip it down a lot futher which would have cost a lot more if he hadn't quoted me already!

To be fair I did tell him i'm not in any rush as I don't commute on it..

I still say boooooooooooooooo to them. :smt045

Next purchase will be an Abba stand and a workshop manual... Better doing stuff myself I reckon :-)

Lame excuses if you ask me. And you made the fatal mistake of saying you were in no rush. That no means your bike is stuck in the corner of the garage and will get seen to if there is nothing else to do. It's not always a good thing to get a cost price job. If it takes them longer than expected that means it's money down the pan for them. That's why they will leave it to one side until there is nothing else to do.

Right, lets get this thread going for this weekend.

Sunday the 16th - if the weather's OK I'll be doing the MH-Fox's-Aylesbury-Buckingham-Bicester-Thame-Fox's route again. If the weather's rubbish I'll stay in bed.

Anyone up the former?

What's the plan this weekend?

BBC weather says :
Saturday - Light rain
Sunday - heavy rain

I guess this means that this weekend is a bike free zone?
