Lol, that's not so bad then. My dad used to buy things like that for my mums Christmas until I got to the age that I would take him out and pick the presents. He genuinely thought she would like a hoover for her Christmas........

I can't see a problem with that, at least it gets her off her hands and knees and is a genuine upgrade from the dustpan & brush........:smt102

I have a dishwasher to, almost fits under the kitchen counter (well if she takes her shoes off).

:smt080

Cheers Mark.

My mum asked me for a kettle for xmas. So I got her one, along with a few choccies and stuff from my son.

Only thing is on Xmas eve I saw my brother in Asda, and he saw said kettle......now she has two!!! She is going to get them both today, but mine has the reciept so she can get something else. I think she'll see the funny side, next year she might remember to tell each of us something different for her santas gifts :-)

None of the above was booze related, and seems to be the norm for me to be ill over Christmas.

Still I have Wii F1 2009 (would have preferred Moto GP 08:rolleyes:) to play once I feel better, which isn't going to be today:(

Same apart from the Wii stuff, and the kids (27,26,25,23,22,20) didn't arrive till later in the day. By then I had 2 T shirts, a fleece, a Berghaus jacket and a wooly hat on. Sat next to the fire freezing.

Today I just feel cr@p
