Vespa Gt125 paid cash back in '03 and wrote it off after a couple months.
Honda XR125L paid for by insurance money. Cost 1990 new at the time.
SV650s was interest free credit and part ex for the Honda.

Always cash , don't buy unless I can afford it . Don't like loans

Bought the SV with a credit card - 0% for 12 months. Got the Kwak on 0% finance. I'm a stingy Scot me!

one thing soulkiss suggested to me a while back, was if you can get a 0% deal, and you have all the money...put the cash in another account with the monthly repayments set up. you get some interest aswell this way, so you earn a little bit of money

im pretty impressed at the amount of people that say cash, it would take me a long time to save 5-6k.

Probably takes a little less to save that amount than it does to pay it off if you've borrowed it. ;)

I could probably do it quite quickly if I didn't keep spending it on existing motorbikes. ;)

Then again I've never spent 5-6k on buying a bike[1], the most expensive was the SV and that was only 4.5k.

[1] Just don't ask how much I've spent in total on the SV, I'm never going to work it out but I know its a big scary 5 figure number.

just hard to save that kind of money when ur paying debts and all that. To be honest my car is my biggest drain.
